St. Bernard Day at the Capitol set for April 28, 2015
For the second year, St. Bernard Parish will host St. Bernard Day at the Capitol on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 4:00 PM at the Pentagon Barracks adjacent to the State Capitol (859 N. Third Street, Baton Rouge).
St. Bernard Parish has Highest Population Growth Percentage in State
According to the latest U.S. Census estimates released March 26, 2015, St. Bernard Parish's population grew by 2.4% adding 1.029 residents from July 2013-July 2014. The 2.4% increase represents the highest population growth in Louisiana. St. Bernard is also the fastest growing parish in Louisiana over the past four years with a 23.7% increase, representing 8,512 residents added.

Startup St. Bernard Finalists Announced
Startup St. Bernard announced Friday, February 20, the finalists for the 2015 entrepreneur pitch competition. The five finalists will pitch to a panel of judges on Monday, March 23, at the Meraux Foundation's Docville Farm during New Orleans Entreprenuer Week (NOEW).

Nunez Community College in Chalmette will begin offering a Process Technology Fast Track program designed to help those with an associate's degree or higher attain the Associates of Applied Science degree in Process Technology in 16 weeks.
Process Technology is a high-wage, high-skill, and high-demand profession with beginning salaries of over $50,000. Most PTEC positions involve working onsite at various manufacturing or processing facilities.
