Grow St. Bernard

What’s next for your business?  Grow St. Bernard is a professional development series aimed at providing business owners and their staff with new ideas and practical strategies to improve performance in key areas of their business.  Grow St. Bernard is powered by the St. Bernard Economic Development Foundation and the St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce.

The six-part series features speakers from the Greater New Orleans region discussing a variety of topics for new, growing, and pre-revenue small and mid-sized businesses. Participation in Grow St. Bernard program is open to all individuals regardless of location or occupation.

Session One: July 23, 2019 – 8:00am – 12:00pm

Maximize your Potential – Be the CEO of your Success!

Whether you are running your own business or an intern among multiple employees, being able to identify needs and determine your most important tasks is imperative to success.  Join us as we welcome featured speaker, Nick Moldaner with Palmisano Contractor who will discuss workflow success strategies, prioritization, time management, and the value of relationship building at all levels.

Moldaner's presentation will be followed by an individual Gallup CliftonStrengths assessment and 90-minute facilitation of results and how to utilize that information to increase personal productivity.  Facilitation will be guided by Alex Schneider.

Jessie Williams joins us to share how the rapid success of Main Squeeze uncovered new opportunities in software development and a new venture, Root System Technology.   Main Squeeze, a New Orleans based juice company, has over a dozen locations in Louisiana and Texas.  The fast-casual juice and smoothie bar continues to expand its market.  

The final Grow St. Bernard session will conclude with a business roundtable and “think tank” for past and current Grow St. Bernard cohorts.

Grow St. Bernard includes a diverse lineup of notable speakers and business leaders.  The series includes presentations and panels pertaining to productivity, current trends, local and regional insights, and best practices for operating a business.  Businesses are encouraged to sign up for the full series.  Grow St. Bernard participants benefit from networking with other entrepreneurs building partnerships with the cohort.

 

Registration for the full Grow St. Bernard series is $100 including individual access to all six sessions, an individual Gallup CliftonStrengths assessment, and the option to receive one-on-one business mentoring provided by the Louisiana Small Business Development Center.  Registration for a single session is $20 per attendee.

 

The Grow St. Bernard series takes place from July 23, 2019 through October 1, 2019.  All sessions begin with coffee, networking, and a light breakfast at 8:00am.  The series will take place at the St. Bernard Port and Torres Law Firm in Chalmette.
